15 Instagram Accounts To Follow For Daily Inspiration

I like to feel inspired and excited about learning. Other writers inspire me, news and research about health, fitness, mindfulness and even manifesting all have a place in my heart and mind. I also like astrology, and I don’t care if you may judge me - it mixes well with spirituality, faith and G-O-D. Although I did leave the latter out of this piece for now. I also enjoy an inspiring quote, and I care not if that is perceived as corny. Inspiring quotes not only make me think, but they motivate me to be better. Words of wisdom can often times add perspective and depth to our lives, and who couldn’t use a bit more of that these days?

Without any further delay, here are 15 Instagram accounts I find to be inspiring and motivating every time I scroll and come across their posts. Enjoy!

The Chalkboard Mag@thechalkboardmag is all about encouraging their followers to live their best and most healthy lives. Their feed features a range of well designed posts with healthy living information that touches on anything from mental to physical and emotional health. Start living with more intention. This account will make you think about what that can look like.

Author/Creator: Still Life (image links to post)

As someone who worked in design for 16+ years, a good info graphic always tickles my fancy and catches my eye. The clean design, color choices and messaging put forth by@still.life is easy to take in, digest and begin to utilize or at least think about clearly. Getting still, releasing heavy thoughts, and learning how to quiet the mind to move forward - well, that’s what their content is all about. I find these info gfx to have provided meaningful reminders toward my daily progress and overall goals to destress and be more present in my life.

Author/Creator: Simon Sinek (image links to post)

Simon Sinek @siminsinek is an author and inspirational speaker who teaches workshops and speaks on the topic of leadership. His posts almost always make me think about how I can be a better leader at work and in the classroom. He wholeheartedly believes that part of leading is taking responsibility for decisions, supporting your team and harnessing the desire for everyone within your reach to succeed. These posts not only apply in the office and to work, but in the classroom and at home - in life. We should all want one another to succeed and lead with our hearts from there.

Author/Creator: Katie Plunkett (image links to post)

Katie Plunkett@kidtalk.co has changed the game when it comes to the way I interact in my English conversation classes with my students. I’m sure she can change the game for you too when it comes to how you’re speaking to your children, grandchildren or any tiny person that may be in your life. Her content is informative and a true blessing to teachers, parents and anyone looking to connect more deeply with their children or students. Start the conversation and engage with little people more using Katie’s tips and strategies.

Author/Creator: Diego Perez (image links to post)

Diego Perez@yung_pueblo  is an author and writer focusing on growth mindset and building healthy relationships (with yourself and others). His content is poetic, profound and all about challenging humans to show up with more love and respect in their lives which, in turn, impacts the love and respect with which we show up to all other relationships in our lives.

Author/Creator: Lewis Howes (image links to post)

Lewis Howes@lewishowes  is a former pro-athlete turned lifestyle coach. His content focuses on mindset and expansion in the areas of love, money, personal growth and experience. There’s always a positive note or reminder on this account, usually quite simple, that brings me back to place when I read it. Lewis also has a podcast where the above topics are spoken about in depth.

Author/Creator: Dr. James Dinicolantonio (image links to post)

Dr. James DiNicolantonio @drjamesdinic  is a doctor and cardiovascular research scientist who talks A LOT about nutrition. Personally, he touts animal protein consumption a little too much for my liking because I have a personal belief in balance and eating intuitively, but he is a proponent of discipline and commitment which I love when it comes to creating healthy habits and transforming health.

Author/Creator: The Brain Docs (image links to post)

Dr. Ayesha + Dean Sherzai@thebraindocs are neurologists, scientists and authors. They also have a podcast related to evidence based information on brain health, which I like indulging in given my father’s dementia diagnosis. From reminders to move, recipes and info on new studies about the brain, Dementia and Alzheimers -  it’s a little bit of education that may change the way you look at or think of your own health (and that of your parents, if you’re like me).

Author/Creator: Joan McDonald (image links to post)

Joan McDonald@trainwithjoan is a regular lady turned super woman! Joan decided to take back her health at age 70 when she started having health problems. She is now 77, lifting weights, walking, doing splits and motivating others by showing it is never too late to be our healthiest selves. That it’s never too late to create a new habit, make a change and invest in our well being.

Author/Creator: The Institute for Integrative Nutrition

As a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition@nutritionschool I am a proponent of their content and most of the information they set forth about daily living and health practices. I always adapted my coaching work a bit more because their ideals can be a little bit rigid for me, but the bones and more are on their page about healthy living.  Wonderful info can be found on their account, ranging from recipes, to the benefits of adding certain foods to your diet, movement, meditation and more.

The Kitchn@thekitchn  is a wonderful resource for an abundance of recipes and tips for food and vegetable storage. Recipes range from basics to simple meals and sweets alongside some great taste tests and comparisons so you know which brownie recipe reigns supreme. The writing is clear, concise and posts are generally helpful for anyone who is a kitchen novice or an expert.

Author/Creator: Morgan Harper Nichols (image links to post)

The Storyteller Co.@thestorytellerco  creates beautiful illustrations paired with inspiring words, affirmations, daily or weekly mantras. I love the color combinations and voice of this account. It’s like stopping to smell the roses, if that could be a thing on Instagram. Breathe in and read.

Author/Creator: Amy McNee (image links to post)

Amy McNee @inspiredtowrite  is a writer and creator who shares her thoughts and feelings about being a creative person and what it looks like to live the life of an artist. Her perspective has enriched my own process of creating, from art to writing. And, yes, we’re all creators, whether we believe that or not.
